For reasons I can't explain a Willow tree has chosen to stay alive with it's roots and lower trunk deep in the waters of Lake Wanaka. Many come to photograph it, especially in Autumn. I chose a wet day to reduce the background to shades of grey. I walked out into the water with the camera on a tripod to use my 50mm lens to give it an immediate feel.
Taken on Nikon 800E. 50mm lens. Aperture F14. ASA 100.
