There is definitely a Turneresque mood to Fiordland valleys in winter storms when the diorite mountains reveal themselves as imposing forces. Mist and rain clings to them (and the camera lens too!) I pick an area and work it over for some time as I can never be sure of how the cloud and mist will fall in the photo.
