New Zealand forest has very few deciduous trees, one of which is the native fuchsia, centre stage in this image. Limbs stripped bare, almost a naked pink colouration, the fuchsia's many fine branches make a dancing counterpoint to the dark green bush in which it resides. I like the calligraphic look the fingering branches make.
