Photos like this have no centre; they seem to create a visual field that swims about in beautiful, simple colours and forms, repeating with variation throughout the picture frame. You have to look hard to see the trees in the complexity of this wood. However, there is one closer, delicate, younger tree just off centre that makes this image even more disquieting in a subtle way.

Taken on Asahi Pentax 6/7, 75mm lens. 100 ASA Ektachrome 220 film. Aperture F22.
