Pikirakatahi/ Mt Earnslaw's West Peak (10 metres lower than the 2030m East Peak) swathed in cloud under a dusting of snow, photographed from the west. Called Pikirakatahi by Ngai Tahu, Mt Earnslaw is the highest peak in Southern Mount Aspiring National Parks Forbes Range. In stark contrast to its South Face, this northern aspect of Earnslaw has little permanent snow.
