Karyn Roberts

Karyn Roberts is a multi disciplinary artist based on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island. Pencil is her primary tool, which she uses to create intricate drawings full of texture and detail.

Karyn also works in charcoal, pastel and colour pencil. The human figure, fabric and the ocean are some of her favourite subjects. Karyn likes to encourage the viewer to take a closer look at the everyday with detailed drawings of an otherwise mundane slab of concrete, or close cropping of faces.
