I decided recently to make jewellery for the wall and the body. Artworks are hung on the wall permanently; a necklace, after being worn, goes in a jewellery box at best. They are nonetheless pieces of art. I create jewellery for the wall, and eventually, the body!
My pieces are the representation of my ancestry and ethos. With a French fashion design background, I need to stitch different material together. As per my interdisciplinary practice, my work promotes craftsmanship and the use of ancient techniques in a contemporary and non-toxic manner. My ethos is about recycling and repurposing objects with the questioning of value and preciousness.
Circular sustainability, slow made, wabi sabi.
