Cicada/kihikihi-wawā Kids' T-shirt (Green)

It’s the sound of summer! A chorus of male cicadas singing for a mate on a tree trunk in the sunshine. Having lived as a nymph underground for 2-4 years, cicadas climb up a tree, have one final molt - then look to reproduce. Look out for dried nymph skins this summer!

Each of our kids’ t-shirts is hand-printed to order using water based inks.

Materials:

Regular fit 
Crew neck 
Mid-weight, 180 GSM, 28-singles 
100% combed cotton (marles 15% viscose) 
Neck ribbing, side seamed, shoulder to shoulder tape, double needle hems, preshrunk to minimise shrinkage

With a background in biology and geology, we have turned our understanding and love of the natural world into a t-shirt business. We produce unique screen printed artwork, clothing as well as stationery and gifts. We pride ourselves on our designs - “a nod to scientific illustrations of the past”. All of our design and print work is done by us in house - from rough sketches through to finished art work, transferring the art to silk screens and printing. We print using environmentally friendly, water based ink. We are extremely proud of the fundraising partnerships we have formed with conservation projects around New Zealand, donating $5 of each adult t-shirt sold to specific conservation groups.
